THE GROVE

The key challenges for this project lied in adapting the existing fabric with the contemporary addition towards the rear. Influenced by the Arts and Crafts Movement, the original design is an exemplar of Bungalow architecture which was highly popularised during the early 20th Century. La serpiente del Botànic

One of the housing typologies that we most frequently come across in València for renovation is that of the mid-20th century extensions: elongated pieces between the street and the interior of a large block, with narrow façades and small courtyards attached to the sides. Royal Orthodontics

2018 NYCxDESIGN winner Royal Orthodontics is bold without sacrificing function.   Jamie Royal wanted a fresh look for her orthodontic practice, moving from  the Upper East Side of Manhattan to the East 20s. She reached out to Float Studio with a  proposition that was a little unusual for them: a whole brand refresh, including logo, exterior and  signage, on top of an interior gut renovation of the space.    There are cues that make the space identifiable as a doctor’s office: a reception desk, a  consultation room, examination bays.
