Poly Tianhui Centre Tianjin
CLOU’s inspiration for the interior design of Tianhui Centre came from a historic painting which depicts the leisure life of the royal families of Emperor Yongzheng. The traditional Chinese elements such as the pavilion, umbrella, hat, lantern, mirror and fan have been turned into attractions integrated into the ceiling design.
This design combines lighting features of different themes and shapes – balls represent lanterns while chromatic LED tubes resemble raindrops and umbrellas – allowing for a focal point and adding more fun to the interior atmosphere.

Silver Stone Office
Next to the Tianta Lake in Tianjin a new office space has been designed for Silver Stone Consultants. In a newly built commercial complex, a 468 square meter space on the top floor of the building is acquired by the company to expand their office. The irregular shaped space is right under a pitched roof with heights varying from 5,6 to 9,0 meter.
Additional floors have been added to optimize the height while keeping an open layout to ensure sufficient daylight for all the workplaces. In the final design proposal, the original space of 468 square meter was expanded to 1088 square meter usable area divided over 3 different floor levels. Tianjin Dongli High-Tech District
schmidt hammer lassen architects has designed an approx 460,000 m2 masterplan for the Tianjin Dongli National Science and Technology District. The masterplan has a public and active design that allows users and near-by residents to fully activate the district as a social space. The design is unified by the Synergy Ring, connecting and activating all elements in the plan and allowing access through a pedestrian and bicycle based system. The Synergy Ring will work as a catalyst for the city, creating a link of potential synergies both on a business level, between the different quarters, but also between cultural and administrative buildings.
