The project is located in the listed historical district “Nowawes” in Potsdam-Babelsberg, a quarter that was created by the Prussian King Friedrich II starting in the middle of the 18th century. The aim was to attract Bohemian craftsmen, especially weavers and spinners. Simple cheap and functional houses were built, each with its own garden for self-sufficiency. These weavers' houses were single-storey with a gable roof, often built directly next to each other. Nomad Cabins collaborated with IKEA to create Cabin N, a prefabricated microhome that combines modular construction with eco-oriented design. Built from renewable and recyclable materials, the 21-square-metre cabin can house two people and features a flexible open‑plan living and sleeping area with kitchenette and bathroom. Cabin N was developed with a focus on material circularity and environmental responsibility. On the loosely built-up outskirts of the Lake Constance community of Lochau, we have built a modern residential quarter. In close cooperation with the municipality, the design advisory board and the neighbours, we achieved a careful and well thought-out densification. Particularly in smaller towns like Cormeilles-en-Parisis, 17 km northeast of Paris, club sport plays a vital role in social life. The new sports center offers optimal training and competition conditions for local teams, amateur athletes and schools.With its silhouette, the design sets a striking mark, but nevertheless blends harmoniously into the loosely built residential area. Stüben, a steep mountain plot above Dornbirn, offers views over the Vorarlberg Rhine Valley, the alpine landscape from the First to the Swiss mountains and in the northwest over Lake Constance. The house captures the panorama with its largely glazed living area on the top floor, and in its formal language, it creates references to the architecture of traditional farmhouses. The house on the lake refers to the local boat and fishing houses and follows the tradition of rural construction by the water. Lightness, a low, wide roof structure and a strong emphasis on the horizontal determine the design. The timber construction, predominantly from local woods, is elevated to protect it from flood. The wooden porch surrounding the house widens to a terrace at the lakeside, completely covered by the steep saddleback roof. The planned multifunctional building “Rubina”, located on the former site of the Nibelungen barracks in Regensburg is a new educational and care centre for young people. The long, one-story structure perfectly and naturally merges into the existing ensemble on the banks of the Danube. Yet it successfully redefines the place, recharges it and provides it with a new unique identity. The cubic administration building with its asymmetrically cut windows sets a landmark for the site of the hardwood sawmill Wibeba Holz in Wieselburg. With its eye-catching appearance, the small cube can assert itself against the large neighboring industrial buildings and at the same time blends harmoniously into its environment with loosely built up single-family houses. The dual-purpose medium-size structure is located on the right bank of the Mellenbach. The design concept reminds of a fluvial terrace and pays homage to the topography; both longitudinal sides of the structure reference the Geländesprung (jump in the terrain) measuring one and a half stories.
