Coburg and Moreland, two new state-of-the-art railway stations on the Upfield Line in Victoria, Australia, have been completed by Wood Marsh Architecture. The stations and surrounding urban landscape act as spaces for the community. A civic architectural response by Wood Marsh celebrates the history of railways, improves infrastructure, and upgrades amenities to better serve the local neighborhood.

Redefining the suburb’s heart with a central public plaza, the Glenroy Station project strengthens pedestrian connections between the retail centre and new development areas through the creation of a public forecourt spanning the rail trench and above the platforms.
Delivered by the North Western Program Alliance, as a part of the Victorian Government’s Level Crossing Removal Project, the project sees the removal of the level crossing at Glenroy Road, through which 19,000 vehicles pass daily.

Orléans Multi-modal Transport Hub
The original passenger shed was set perpendicular to the tracks and was demolished and replaced by a vast passenger concourse, 44 metres wide and 73 metres long, including a cantilevered canopy 7 metres above floor level, covering the space of the original building and the Rue St-Yves.
