búlali aleste

At Búlali, design is not just seen — it’s felt. Rooted in the minimalist elegance of the Japandi aesthetic, the space embraces a local soul: raw tropical materials and the warmth of Costa Rican identity. Alvaro Fonseca Alvaro Fonseca Alvaro Fonseca Neutral tones, natural fibers, and sculptural forms converge to cultivate an atmosphere of quiet harmony. Every detail pays poetic homage to the world of bees, transforming the space into a multisensory narrative. Here, design transcends function — it becomes storytelling in its purest form. House by the Paddy

Nestled amidst lush green paddy fields, this residence is a harmonious blend of simplicity, sustainability, and contextual sensitivity. From the moment one turns off the main road onto a narrow path winding through the fields, the journey itself sets the tone for the design approach. The 180-degree panoramic view of the landscape became a defining factor in shaping the architectural response. Abhimanyu KV The plot, elevated 3.5 meters above road level, offered a unique vantage point. By strategically placing the entry along a side road, the residence maximizes its connection to the surrounding fields. A long verandah and an extended deck seamlessly integrate indoor and outdoor spaces, encouraging the family to engage with the breathta... More

Apartamento Pedroso Alvarenga

As the years go by, customs and living arrangements change. Previously, the floor plans of residential apartments were highly compartmentalized, with various separate rooms divided by walls, a room for staff, numerous bathrooms, among other distinctive features. However, increasingly, the newer generations seek more open and connected spaces with fewer obstacles and a lively atmosphere. This is how we conceptualized this renovation project together with the young couple who owns this apartment in the Itaim neighborhood. Pedro Napolitano Prata With 110m² of space, we proposed the demolition of all the walls in the social or common areas, integrating them into a single, fluid, and cozy space. Where there used to be a living room, d... More

Tokyo Tribal

Tokyo Tribal chairs and stools carry a simple design and are compact in size to fit the modern urban living environment. The concept of ‘furniture’ and ‘miscellaneous interior goods’ are combined, in contrast to more conventional concepts of interior design that clearly place greater importance on the former. In allowing for these various products and materials to converge and function together, the conceptual aim is to create a sense of a small and tightly-knit ‘tribe’, greater and better than the sum of its parts.   Tokyo Tribal chairs are available in 5 variations, and the stools in 4 variations. The clients—a retired couple—wished to transform the backyard of their newly constructed home into a South Pacific themed retreat. The project begun with several major design challenges: an unsightly, large retainer back wall with its bottom three feet below grade, a 4-foot tall slope and the nature of southwest desert environment with serious watering restrictions for landscaping. Design brief also included: no trees, no poisonous plants (to be safe for their young grandchildren), lots of bright colors, minimal maintenance, wheelchair access to side gate and last but n...
