Bunker 599
A seemingly indestructible bunker with monumental status is sliced open. It opens up the minuscule interior of one of NDW’s 700 bunkers, the insides of which are normally cut off from view completely. In a radical way this intervention sheds new light on the Dutch and UNESCO policy on cultural heritage.
Paradoxically, after the intervention Bunker 599 became a Dutch national monument. Moreover our artwork is recently listed as UNESCO world heritage (!) as part of the New Dutch Waterline

BOATYARD AT CULLY
The little town of Cully is known for its jazz festival and its magnificent landscape of vineyard terraces overlooking Lake Geneva – yet it is, at the same time, a port and fishing area, as evidenced by the new boatyard which opened in the spring of 2020. Supported by the municipality, which wanted to preserve this traditional activity connected with the lake, the project was developed in discussion with the Lavaux district’s advisory committee, charged with upholding the quality of the built environment in this UNESCO World Heritage Site.
The boatyard is a small-scale facility primarily dedicated to renovating wooden boats. The building comprises three sections under one roof: services and offices over two levels to th... More

Parlement Francophone Bruxellois
Siege of the Brussels French Speaking Parliament.
The new program includes: the seat of Brussels Parliament (PFB : French speaking part) and the restoration of the former Postal Relay (Renaissance 1694) as a polyvalent space. It would have been risky to chose the easy way by the creation of a mimetic building right wing of The Parliament or propose a dissonant solution with a draft bill only contemporary. Skope’s approach was different; inspired by the history of the place while assuming contemporary issues.
The building is not a simple drawing of facades but a concept overall. The architect Georges Hano, author of the facades and redevelopment inside the Provincial Palace in 1908 (the building nextdoor), was descended from the "Fine... More
