Pied-à-terre in Kolonaki
In a typical Athenian apartment building of the '60s in Kolonaki, Constantine Bouras Studio renovated this apartment, with respect to the building’s period and special attention to materiality.

The apartment is used as a pied-à-terre by its owner when in Greece. The owner's love for plants makes the green element a protagonist in this otherwise minimally furnished apartment, rendering it a space for decompression and creating the feeling of an indoor garden as a continuation to the green of Lycabettus Hill, seen from the balcony.

ALM | Domestic Jungle Apt
Two levels for a young family of four: the project has been an opportunity to experiment with new combinations of materials, colours and textures, creating different scenarios within the same apartment.
The reuse and refurbishment of the large space of the attic allowed to experience an unconventional layout with the living area extended on two levels: on the lower level a cosy and spacious entrance area in continuity with dining area and kitchen; on the upper level a large living area characterised by sloped ceilings and a large terrace.
The lower floor plays on the presence of greenery, real and illusory: in front of the entrance a large wall covered with a "palm jungle" motif wallpaper, by Cole&Son, hides the door towards the sleep... More

Federal Street
Elenberg Fraser love Auckland. We have long admired the city and its exports in culture and business and the arts. Almost 20 years ago we published the works of the great Rewi Thompson in Transition magazine, it is powerful work that we have absorbed and never forgotten.
So our response to the Federal Street site is a personal and complex one. In contemporary architecture, landscape is often reduced to view lines and decoration. But we have sought to evacuate the ground plane and to reinstate the traditional forests of the New Zealand Taraire.
