studio razavi architecture has been invited by the Global Art Affairs Foundation to exhibit at Time Space Existence, a collateral event of the 15th International Architecture Exhibition of La Biennale di Venezia.
Peter Eisenman, Denise Scott Brown, Curtis Fentress, WOHA are amongst some of this year’s guests at Time Space Existence.
studio razavi architecture built a life size mock-up for a building structure currently under design for a London house. The installation introduces not only a layout for the exhibition but also a spatial experience for visitors as parabolic arches of varying height, create a series of vistas and paths to the works shown: a concrete townhouse in New York and a single family building in London.

The Institut Ramon Llull presents the Collateral Event “Aftermath_ Catalonia in Venice. Architecture beyond architects” within the framework of the15th International Architecture Exhibition that the director Alejandro Aravena has titled “Reporting from the Front”. The project is curated by the architects Jaume Prat and Jelena Prokopljević and film director Isaki Lacuesta. TAKING CARE is the keynote that TAMassociati (Massimo Lepore, Raul Pantaleo, Simone Sfriso) has chosen in keeping with the theme of Reporting from the Front proposed by Alejandro Aravena to recount an architecture created with communities and capable of sharing needs and aspirations.
The theme is divided into three sections, ‘Thinking‘, ‘Meeting‘ and ‘Acting‘, resting on three specific issues involving the common good.

A collaboration between Transsolar and Anja Thierfelder at Arsenale
The 15th International Architecture Exhibition – La Biennale di Venezia curated by Alejandro Aravena, has 88 participants from 37 different countries. Included among the participants is Transsolar KlimaEngineering and German architect Anja Thierfelder, with their piece Lightscapes – Local identity, exploring a forgotten resource. The objective: To reproduce the atmosphericphenomenon of visible sun rays as an aesthetic and immersive experience. The message: Working with the unique qualities of a place releases the place’s potential to endow buildings with a strong identity.

The Academy for Architectural Culture (aac) at the 15th International Architecture Biennale 2016
Two Exhibitions And One Workshop
At this year’s Architecture Biennale, the aac will be represented on three occasions. As a young, internationally focused educational establishment for architectural students and graduates, based in Hamburg, the Academy will present itself at the Palazzo Rossini with its history, its mission and its curriculum. At the same time, the current student workshop begins in Venice with a project phase on the subject “From Module to Urban Quarter” and, finally, the results of last year’s spring workshop will be exhibited at Palazzo Mora.

INFINITY KITCHEN
MVRDV designed a fully transparent kitchen as part of a satellite event for the Venice Biennale. The installation takes the typical modern day modular kitchen and looks at progressing the typology to improving the culinary experience and challenging the immense, yet generic, kitchen industry. The Infinity Kitchen wants to make better cuisine, better food preparation practices and it wants raise awareness for the one room that we all rely so heavily on, and the processes that go on inside of it. How much food do we have hidden away? How much waste is really been created? Is the kitchen really as clean as we like to think it is? La Biennale di Venezia 2016
As a response to the 15th International Architecture Exhibition’s challenging theme, Portugal presents a “site-specific” pavilion, occupying an urban front in physical and social regeneration on the island of Giudecca: Campo di Marte. In actual fact, the installation of the pavilion on-site triggered the completion of Campo di Marte’s urban project designed by the Portuguese architect Álvaro Siza thirty years ago.

One of Australia’s greatest cultural symbols - the pool - forms the foundation of the Australian Exhibition at the Biennale Architettura 2016, which will run from May 28 to November 27 2016. The Australian Exhibition, presented by the Australian Institute of Architects and curated by Aileen Sage Architects (Isabelle Toland and Amelia Holliday) with Michelle Tabet, uses the pool as a lens through which to explore Australian cultural identity.
