Taiwan Exhibition: Everyday Architecture Re:Made in Taiwan

Taiwan Exhibition: Everyday Architecture Re:Made in Taiwan

In a direct response to “Reporting from the Front”, the theme called for by Alejandro Aravena, Curator of the 15th Venice Biennale International Architecture Exhibition, Everyday Architecture Re:Made in Taiwan is a collateral event features installations, videos, material displays and, most prominently, 150 inspiring and stimulating photographs in the from of postcards collected from “the front of Taiwan” representing its vitality and energy inside its community. The Exhibition also features two innovative solutions that represent the collaborative efforts between the curatorial team and two Taiwanese corporations in their answers to the increasingly challenging environmental issues – with nPulp, the recycled use of rice straws via application of technologies utilizing digestive enzyme, and with E Ink, the environmental-friendly ePaper and TFT LCD display. The traditions and the innovations coexist in the venue of Taiwan Exhibition, just representing the coherence of the everyday architecture in Taiwan.
