Soft-Spoken House

Victorian Loft Conversion and Family Home Retrofit, Hackney This project reconfigures a Victorian terraced house in Hackney, through a compact loft extension and a fabric-first retrofit. Rather than increasing the footprint, the design focuses on improving spatial clarity, thermal performance, and the overall quality of everyday living. The result is a home that feels calm, well-balanced, and quietly efficient. Brotherton-Lock Over time, the house had become fragmented and difficult to use. Bedrooms were distributed across different floors, the bathroom was undersized, storage was limited, and environmental performance was poor, with rooms prone to overheating in summer and heat loss in winter. Previous attempts to improve the... More

Art Forms

A heritage Victorian terrace house at Fitzroy gets a renovation in collaboration with an Artist Client. Tatjana Plitt An Architect-turned-sculptor Client, and an Architect with a penchant for art, approach the renovation of a Victorian terrace house in the heart of Fitzroy as artists might approach their work.  Together they have wrapped, carved out,  inserted, framed, coloured, decorated  and lit the project as an artist might. Tatjana Plitt Our clients' family house was lovely, but rundown, its center was dark and awkward, the living area too small, the main bedroom had no En suite and there was the usual lack of storage. The Artist Owner came to us with moody grayscale 3D models that expressed some strong conce... More

Modern decor style

The building to our client is constructed in factory neighborhood. Each facade tells a story of aesthetic emotions linked with each space in terms of its color palate. We tried to blend modern interiors, flooring and plenty of open spaces where you can break away for a change of scenery. Office layout is kept quite simple with central alley leading us to the owner’s cabin. Office space includes main director office, working space with desks, meeting room, and an informal reception area.Exterior elevation of the office is quite unusual with heavy ornamented bracket wooden frame design. Simple elevation with wooden balustrade detail on the first floor window & white color story enhances the richness and simplicity of this elevation.... More

Burrows Road Glazed Envelope

Burrows Road is situated in Kensal Rise, close to Notting Hill. The property had been untouched for a long time and has become run down allowing for carte blanche with the modernisation. The existing cellular ground floor was chopped up allowing for an open-plan area and more fluidity between the Kitchen/Dining and Kid’s Room and extended to the rear, allowing the kitchen to flow into the ‘garden room’. The sky is viewed from deep within the plan by the expansive glass roof, giving the space an external character. More
