The Barcelona City Council held an architectural competition for the landscape planning of an interior urban block and a sports facility consisting of an indoor heated swimming pool and a sports court.    The winning proposal was valued for its landscape integration of a singular greened building in an interior urban block and for its commitment to sustainability and respect for the environment.   URBAN REGENERATION WITH A GREEN INFRASTRUCTURE The urban environment prior to the intervention was an unstructured space consisting of a sum of residual spaces. Architects Rogers Stirk Harbour + Partners celebrated the completion of the Macallan Distillery and visitor experience in Speyside, Scotland. The new Macallan distillery and visitor experience is set into the landscape of the estate that has been distilling the world’s leading single malt since 1824. “Feel nature, grow sensitivity”This is a nursery project in Yonago, Tottori, Japan. This site is surrounded by the environment rich in nature, sea as well as mountain. However, the environment of the former nursery is unvarying and not sensuous, same as general. Children couldn’t feel nature in spite of living with rich nature. Hence, we put it on the design concept, “Feel nature, grow sensitivity”. For children to feel nature in daily life, we focused on materials. On 14 September 2016 Related Companies and Oxford Properties Group announced Heatherwick Studio’s design of Vessel, a new public landmark for the Hudson Yards development in Manhattan.Due for completion in Autumn 2018, Vessel has been commissioned as the centrepiece for the largest development in New York City since the Rockefeller Center. Rather than just be something to look at, Heatherwick Studio‘s design undertook the challenge of creating a landmark every inch of which could be climbed and explored.
