Designed by Studio Vice, NE Wellness in Minneapolis, MN incorporated solid wood tambor panels by Surfacing Solution in all aspects of its design.  A tambour reception desk is flanked by tambour full wall treatments and accent walls. Arched tambour panels frame in wall openings and doorways.  Living Green walls and other plants are complimented by the light natural tones of maple tambour panels.  More

Fes Aquapark Complex is located in a 10000 square meter site near thermal bath fountains in Fes, Morocco. In the programming phase, we studied Fes vernacular architecture, climate, politics, history, and culture. We focused on the fundamental components of Fes and tried to design by using its characteristic elements. One of the most significant concepts derived out from Fes was the Maze, which refers to the chaotic infra-structure of the city. Another concept which contributed most to the design process was the hybrid character of the Morocco architecture affected by different cultures like Barbarians, Spain and Islamic countries. A modern Islamic ladies fitness center is still quite an architectural novelty in the eastern culture, and there are a lot of challenges to be faced in designing one that meets the cultural propriety and traditional offsets of the area. But the CAS design team has designed a socio-culturally aware design that is modern in aesthetic and extremely private in function. Each wall and window have been carefully designed to ensure the utmost privacy, while not compromising the aesthetics, natural light or trendiness.
