Located in an upscale housing estate in an outer city boundary on the east side of Penang Island, Malaysia, total built-up of 250 sq.m., Versatile Neutral House lies within the Gelugor suburb and residential neighborhood to the south.  We tried it boldly with dreamy pastel colour scheme to break the perception of most people that pastel is no longer the territory of nurseries or little girls. They can take on a much more mature feel in the hands of the right team. Instead, this high-end space takes pastel green, blue and lavenders into a luxurious realm, combining the colors with the rich, smooth texture of terrazzo, the retro-chic appeal of lightly colored bare wood, and the simple form of lighting pendants. This concept is achieved in this home by anchoring the light cooking and dining spaces with a statement island counter top that extends out into a dining table.
