Notre-Dame de l’Assomption
Notre Dame de l'Assomption church in Le Teil was heavily damaged by the earthquake in November 2019. Restoring it would appear to be a risky and costly business. It was therefore agreed by the Town Council that it would be demolished and rebuilt nearby. An architectural competition was launched in the first half of 2023.
Today we would like to propose a different vision for the future of Place Jean Macé, outside the official competition. We want to study the revival of the religious building while respecting the memory of the site, preserving the original urban layout whilst developing a wider project for a landscaped public space to enhance and revitalise Le Teil town centre.

Continuous Roof - Wooden Structure in Dongyang Village
The vast red soil, the undulating Meiling, and the lively countryside have nurtured the daily life and technological heritage of Dongyang. This architecture cannot escape the traditions of this place, nor can it easily detach itself from its surroundings. The breadth of this perspective and the romance of everyday life deeply move us.
Galaxy Arch
The project is located on a small hill, facing Meiling and with homes of the village behind it. The site is approximately 30 meters long with a height difference of 10 meters. The design aims to create a descending path while serving as a place for daily relaxation activities. Existing residential buildings around the plot obstruct views parallel to the contour lines from different heights, c... More

A touch of M.C. Escher, co-housing in a town house
The staircase between the first and second floors in a large town house have made way for a new staircase that leads directly to the second floor. The wood-covered staircase is a readable sculptural addition that makes it possible to divide up the large house while preserving the typically large spaces of the town house. An additional staircase added later leads to the communal undergroundspaces. The existing staircase between floors 0 and 1 is part of residence 1,that between floors 2 and 3 part of residence 2.

Red Flowing Into Abstract White, House, Gijzenzele
The abstract reconstruction of a dilapidated barn provides the required inward expansion of the main house. The new living spaces in red wood flow into the barn and open up the main house onto the garden. As in the past, arches add rhythm to the abstract volume, and a covered terrace connects the interior courtyard with the rear garden. The stable was renovated with visible concrete additions and serves as a storage area, but an inward expansion of the farm will also be possible in the future with a guest room.

Vilgenis dwellings - Massy
The program includes housing for sale, a common garden, private gardens, pedestrian paths and an underground parking lot. These programs are correlative in their functioning. They are linked by the materials. Each plot has a central circulation that serves the dwellings and allows the majority of them to benefit from a double orientation.

The boundary of the site is materialized by the green spaces allowing visual breakthroughs that a circulation towards the neighboring plots. A semi-buried parking lot is accessible by a ramp, from the future road to the north. The dwellings are built back from the street alignment. This allows for the development of private terraces for housing located on the first floor. The whole buildi... More
