Haze House

Haze House This house was built ten years ago and remained unfinished the entire time, with only the interior walls covered in grey oil. The client had previously worked with several designers but struggled to settle on an aesthetic: after a period of fascination with early-2000s high-tech gloss, he was looking for something calmer and more cohesive. The solution emerged after he saw my own apartment — its atmosphere of unity and restraint became the main source of inspiration. Kasia Palasatka The homeowners, a couple in their mid-50s, often welcome their adult children and their families. Spending time together is essential for them: cooking, gathering around a large table, listening to music, watching films. For this reason,... More

CABAÑA EN EL DELTA DE BUENOS AIRES, PALITOS CASO 5

At the untamed confluence of the Paraná and Uruguay Rivers, where waters flow into the vast Río de la Plata, a singular commission is situated. The landscape, a symphony of wetlands and scattered jungle green, evokes the unknown—a primal nature accessible only by river, constantly threatened by rising water levels. This matrix of industriali... More

The house is situated in one of the most rugged areas on the outskirts of Argentina's most densely populated urban centre, the Buenos Aires Delta. This initial juxtaposition defines the site: an access canal lies at the front of the plot, while an endless, humid willow forest stretches behind. The ground continually shifts between water and land, creating a dynamic terrain. Galgo Case 1 by BRUTO STUDIO responds to these conditions by positioning the house lengthwise, capturing the dual landscape, and maintaining a continuous relationship with the ever-changing environment. BRUTO STUDIO The building takes the form of a timber parallelepiped with long, continuous elevations, subtly punctuated by the entrance and semi-permeable sections... More

House of the Alley

Moving to a house, having contact with the land, enjoying plenty of natural light and ventilation, and being able to accommodate future transformations in life. The Casa da Travessa was born from these requests, which reflect both the period of isolation caused by the pandemic and the deep-rooted desires of its inhabitants. The response we gave to this project came from balancing these desires with what we believe architecture to be at this moment (2023-24). We sought to design a house that breathes, both through its interior/exterior relationship and the use of materials. Pedro Kok The basic concept of the project was to insert new wooden elements - structural and sealing - into the internal and external spaces of the house. Where t... More
