Villa Lujo

Villa Lujo is a celebration of balance — between the grandeur of neoclassical French architecture and the fluid ease of contemporary luxury. The core idea lies in translating classical symmetry and refinement into a light, sculptural form that breathes with movement. The central glass wave, both an art object and a metaphor, embodies this duality — tradition meeting innovation, stillness meeting flow. YODEZEEN YODEZEEN YODEZEEN YODEZEEN The palette blends timeless nobility with contemporary restraint. Fine marbles with soft veins — in ivory, sand, and pearl-gray tones — define the architectural rhythm. Polished brass and sculpted plaster details reference the classical heritage, while large glass... More

Villa Cascada

This villa is not merely a structure — it is a bold architectural statement that respects the landscape and enhances its natural beauty. The design aims to blend with the environment while maintaining a distinct and iconic presence, embodying both elegance and innovation. YODEZEEN The architectural concept of the villa is deeply influenced by the unique topography of the site, where the building form follows the natural contours of the steep terrain. Soft, flowing planes seem to emerge organically from the land. These horizontal, smooth surfaces layer over one another, forming a dynamic and fluid volume that adapts to the natural undulations of the site. YODEZEEN The selected materials are not only aesthetically striking b... More

Yumenomori

Yumenomori is YODEZEEN’s first completed project in Japan, curated from Europe with a passion for blending cultural depth with contemporary architecture. The name "Yumenomori," which translates from Japanese to "Forest of Dreams," holds profound significance—it evokes a space where the boundaries between the physical and the spiritual blur, offering a sanctuary that intertwines the serenity of nature with the quiet strength of architecture. In our design, this translates into a flow between the built environment and the natural world, creating a timeless retreat that feels both ethereal and grounded.  Dariusz Sosinka Dariusz Sosinka One of the most striking features of Yumenomori is its rock garden—a symbol... Dog Tales Rescue & Sanctuary

Dog Tales Rescue & Sanctuary is a dual-species animal shelter located in Canada, designed to redefine how care environments can feel. The architecture balances functionality with emotional warmth, using natural materials such as corten steel, stone, and wood to evoke a sense of safety and dignity. Caption The layout is divided into two wings: one for horses, one for dogs. A central sunken lobby connects them and introduces natural light into the lower level, which hosts public and educational functions: donation-based retail, classrooms, flexible workspaces, and private adoption rooms. These zones support community engagement while enabling sensitive first encounters between animals and adopters. Caption Each animal area is... More

Located on a steep forested slope with panoramic views of Mount Begbie and a nearby lake, the house is fully integrated into its alpine setting. The architecture follows the topography with cascading volumes that minimize impact on the terrain and maximize exposure to natural light and views. Modern Mosque

The client—a Saudi Arabian prince—commissioned YODEZEEN to design a contemporary mosque as part of a larger 12,000 m² private complex in Riyadh. The brief called for a design that respects the sacred spatial principles of Islamic architecture while reflecting YODEZEEN’s modern, sculptural aesthetic. Caption Caption Caption Aligning architectural geometry with strict religious orientations without compromising aesthetic purity required exceptional precision. Material selection also posed complexity: modern finishes had to meet Islamic spiritual guidelines, such as using natural wool carpets and specific stone typologies. Additionally, sustainable solutions were tailored to local climate and religious ri... More

Design of 'Follower' restaurant playfully riffs on the popularity of social media

A chic new restaurant that playfully riffs on the popularity of social media has recently opened in the heart of Kyiv, Ukraine.  The aptly named Follower restaurant has taken a mid-century building on one of the city’s oldest and longest streets (VelykaVaslkivskastreet) and updated it as a funky, eccentric hangout catering to millennials.  Architecture and design specialists YoDezeen sought to at once maximise and preserve the building’s heritage whilst simultaneously creating a restaurant that blurs the distinction between online and offline lives and actively encourages guests both to socialize and, reciprocally, to post their experiences on social media.  Credit: Andrii Shurpenkov Follower comprises two f...
