Bart Nicolaas (1985) is an architect currently working on a freelance base and has its own Architecture office 'Another Architecture'. In January 2009 he received his masters degree in architecture at the University of Technology in Delft. His graduation project ‘Militarization of New York City/ US Terror Tribune’ within the Border Conditions graduation studio (final grade: 9) is awarded with a honourable mention and pre-selected for the Dutch Archiprix 2010.
Since then AAO worked for OA Architects during the design and realization phase of Club Trouw Amsterdam and worked in cooperation with architect Arie Gruijters on an urban design and architectural competition 'Crisis' for Europan 10. In April 2010 AAO and architect Niels Limburg have been nominated by the jury of BNA 'Vertical City' competition for its project 'Sponge Block'.
