AFRIKArchi (ex ArchiBENIN) is a non-profit association, based in France and represented in over 12 African countries with an International Network.

Our goal is to support and amplify the teaching of architecture, town planning and civil engineering in Africa. Many goals can be drawn from this initiative. For instance, we want to create and promote a positive and dynamic image of local African building materials as well as to develop inspiration and creativity among professionals and students in architecture, town planning and civil engineering. Moreover, we want to give professionals and students the opportunity to discover and to appreciate architectural and technical possibilities while developing renewable energies technics. As a consequence, make Africans realize that fields such as architecture, town planning or civil engineering offer potentialities and are a way to create wealth.

Our work focuses on several activities: the organization of the ARCHIGINEER AFRICA Competition (second edition will be launched on 1st October 2013), the International Exhibition following the selection of the best projects by the international jury of the competition. Alos, the organization of conferences, round tables, workshops and the establishment of a magazine and a web-radio.
