Alexandre Mancini, a disciple of the master Athos Bulcão, is recognized as one of the most important Brazilian contemporary tile artists.
Taking advantage of constructive principles, Mancini explores the infinite possibilities of geometry through modulation – rhythm and movement – stimulating the sensorial perception of the viewer and inviting them to discover new possibilities.
His work can be found in several cities in Brazil, such as São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Brasília, Belém, and Curitiba, as well as abroad. His hometown, Belo Horizonte, concentrates a large portion of his work, including his “Pampulha Square” installation, located within the architectural complex by Oscar Niemeyer.
