Area is a creative studio that curates original work from contemporary artists and produces unique wallpapers and large scale murals. Our unique approach to creating wallcoverings is inspired by our passion for fine art and an obsession with quality.
Area was founded in 2012 by Owner Jamie Reich and Creative Director Kathryn Korb, out of a shared adoration for fine art. The excitement of how art can influence an area and the curiosity of developing a mood or feeling within a space was the genesis of Area Environments. Four years later and of course after many lessons learned, we continue to redefine what a wallcovering can be and challenge the connection between art and an environment.
Our participating artists are from all over the world and we consider them our partners. They bring their own artistic voices, stories and talents to Area, allowing us to have the most compelling collection on the market. We are proud of our artists and honor their work by both maintaining the integrity of their original art, as well as compensate them with a portion of each sale.
