Urban Atelier (Ateliê Urbano) is a partnership led by Carolina Mazzei and Claudia Mota, based in São Paulo, Brazil. The office was founded in 2003, by Claudia. Carolina joined the practice as partner in 2006. The architecture office is currently involved in a large number of projects for educational institutions throughout Brazil.
Our purpose is producing educational architecture using different materials, colors, and techniques to create contemporary spaces of learning, where students can be free to explore.
Each challenge we start from scratch and elaborate new solutions for each school needs and reality.
Urban Atelier has recently completed remodeling projects for Santo Agostinho School (2019), Santa Amalia High School (2020), Notre Dame School (2018), Stocco Elementary School (2019), Cetrus (2017), Esperanto Baby Kindergarten (2016).
