In July 2012 BAGNODESIGN opened its new A & D Centre in Clerkenwell, London. This new venture in the UK has the primary objective of servicing Architects and Interior Designers, working on international hospitality projects. Through our experience of working on large scale hospitality projects across Europe, Central and South Asia, Africa and the Middle East, we have recognised the significant role that London is playing in design and product specification of these major projects. Our success has not been achieved solely by the product we sell, but on our ability to work in partnership with our clients through the entire life of the project. Having our team on the ground in London strengthens that competitive advantage and ensures that the visions of the stakeholders at the beginning of the project are realised in the finished article. The new A & D Centre follows fast on the heels of the Doha design Centre, which opened in Qatar in May. Clerkenwell is home to over 2,000 Architects and Interior Designers, which accounts for around 20% of the UK’s total and is helping establish London as the ‘capital of Design’. The Clerkenwell Design Week held in May each year is estimated to have received over 30,000 visitors this year, considerably up on the 24,000 visitors in 2011. The 4,000 sq.ft. company owned property is situated over two floors. The first floor of 1,400 sq.ft. will appeal to Interior Designers with a ‘Gallery’ feel to it and will feature a wide collection of BAGNODESIGN washbasins and BAGNOVISION Mirror TV’s. The basement of 2,400 sq.ft. can be described as a ‘tool-kit’ for Architects with all aspects of the bathroom featured. In addition to the BAGNODESIGN ranges of sanitaryware, mixers, baths and the popular BAGNOHOTEL range of bathroom accessories, it will also feature collections from our strategic partners which comprise of Apaiser (luxury stone basins), Aqata (shower enclosures), ASI (washroom equipment), Geberit (shower toilet and flushing mechanisms), Vado (taps and showering) and Panaria (tiles). With meeting tables in both the ground floor and basement, and several workspaces, the A & D Centre provides the ideal location for our supply partners, Architects and Designers to meet with their clients right in the heart of London and to attend events and functions that will become a regular feature of the A & D Centre. COMPANY BACKGROUND BAGNODESIGN Limited is a subsidiary of the Sanipex Group which was established in Dubai, United Arab Emirates in 1994. Initially set up as a regional representative for a handful of European manufacturers, it is today a leading player in the supply of bathroom fixtures and fittings, tiles and plumbing materials through its 3 channels to market – Retail, Wholesale and Projects. The company, owned and managed by its British Board of Directors, employs over 250 staff and conducts business in more than 25 countries. Despite worldwide economic challenges, the company has witnessed a threefold increase in sales over the past four years and is forecasting to achieve the same over the next five year period, through geographical expansion as well as continuing to grow in its traditional markets.
