A seaside home-away-from-home

Ksenia Mezentseva Interior Design as Interior Architects

The 250-square-meter apartment is located in one of the best areas of Abu Dhabi – Saadiyat Island.  It’s a newly developed “culture” island where the UAE Louvre, the Guggenheim and the grand project of the National Museum are.

The clients wanted a vacation home that would reflect their stylistic preference, remind them of their home but at the same time integrate with the surrounding exterior.

The design and execution took 8 months. One of the particular requirements of the homeowners was not use furniture with ‘legs’.

The apartment has a stunning view of the beach and the sea. The interior designer chose a palette of white, blue and natural wood colors for the project to echo the tones of the exterior. She used natural wood and wood veneer for furniture, natural textiles for the curtains and beds, silk carpets and high quality furniture.
