batliboi studio / architecture + design
batliboi studio is the architecture and design practice founded by Hormuz Batliboi. The studio creates spaces that are carefully considered - both programmatically & materially - and thoughtfully detailed, with a priority on infusing spaces with light.
Prior to founding batliboi studio, Hormuz spent over a decade working on a range of high-end commercial, institutional and residential projects, at Skidmore, Owings & Merrill (SOM) and at 1100: Architect. He has worked on projects at a multitude of scales, from urban design to custom interiors.
Hormuz received his Master of Architecture from the University of Pennsylvania, and a Bachelor of Arts in Fine Arts & Mathematics from Grinnell College. He is a licensed architect in the states of New York & Connecticut, NCARB certified, and a member of the AIA. Originally from Mumbai (Bombay), India, he now lives and works in New York City.
Hormuz is also an Adjunct Assistant Professor in the School of Architecture at NYIT.
