BDA promotes the culture of planning and building to improve residential space and quality of life through functionally and aesthetically designed buildings, squares and cities. With the objective of supporting autonomous planning, BDA works to mediate between clients and architects and advocates for public architectural competitions. BDA is committed to high-quality education for young architects and urban planners.
On the federal level, it presents itself to the public with annual events including “Berliner Gespräch“ (Berlin Discussion), “BDA-Tag“ (BDA Day) and public fora. It also communicates its positions on issues of debate in the media and publishes its own literature.
