Degmeda manufactures charred wood cladding for architectural façades and interiors, with a range of timber species, colours and surface textures. Our work brings the character of Shou Sugi Ban-inspired finishes to private homes, workplaces and public buildings.
The charred wood collection includes spruce, larch, Pinus Radiata and Accoya®. Finishes range from brushed surfaces that reveal the grain to Deep Char, which retains the textured carbon layer. Degmeda also supplies thermally modified wood for architectural applications.
We work with architects, designers, house manufacturers that use timber, builders, contractors and property developers, as well as distributors, timber merchants, resellers and private clients. We help select the timber, finish and board profile for individual projects, house production and trade supply. Product information, samples and guidance are available directly from Degmeda.
Selected projects include Galaxy Villa by URBON DESIGN, the Northern Lights Administration and Visitor Centre by LINK Arkitektur, and Separatorn 1 for Alfa Laval, with exterior architecture by Tham & Videgård. Each project story identifies the material supplied by Degmeda and credits the design team and photographer.
