Iñaki Garai, architect

Architect by the Universidad de Navarra in Spain specialized in architectural design and urban planning.

He joined IDOM in 1993 as design architect and become a partner in 2003. He is today Partner and Director in charge of North Spain, Latin America and Asia.

As an architect has been in charge of design of, sport like Bakio Sport Center, offices like Police General Services Building in Erandio, housing like Salburua 242 social dwellings in Vitoria or educational buildings like CEIBS Business School in Beijing. He’s in charge of the Building 2 in the Campus des Métiers in Lille, France, which detailed design is currently carried on.

His work has been recognized internationally by several national and international architectural awards as Biennale of Spanish Achitecture, FAD Awards, Biennale of Architecture in Sao Paulo in Brasil or the Chinese Society of Architecture ; expositions as YSA Young Spanish Architects organized by the Ministry of Architecture of Spain and presented all around Europe and the U.S., and specialized magazines from America, Europe and Asia.

He has also taken part as a jury in several competitions and he has been speaker at several about his architecture in Spain, Mexico, China or U.K.

Inés LópezTaberna

An architect from the University of Navarre, she has been part of IDOM since 1997 and she’s been a partner since 2008.
She has extensively developed her professional practice in the residential field of council housing, both for private and public developers, covering from the project to the site supervision. Noteworthy are the 88 and 65 council dwellings in Zabalgana in Vitoria, the 72 and 104 units in Elejalde and Borinbizkarra and the more recent subsidized housing in Torresolo, Biscay. She is currently working on projects in France, amongst which the following stand out: the Institute of Political Studies of Toulouse;on-campus Building 2 of the Chambre des Métiers in Lille, France; the LR8 Laboratories Building for the EcoleNormaleSuperieure of Lyon and the new rolling mill, offices and changing rooms for Celsa Bayonne.
