LOTTE ADVANCED MATERIALS EUROPE GmbH (LAMEG), the former Samsung Chemical Europe GmbH (SCEG), is the major European subsidiary of LOTTE ADVANCED MATERIALS, the chemical company of the Korean LOTTE conglomerate formed in 2016 after the merger of the former Samsung Chemical Business with LOTTE CHEMICAL. LAMEG is based in Eschborn near Frankfurt am Main in Germany and responsible for marketing and sales of STARON® Solid Surfaces in more than 30 European countries.
The Korean LOTTE group developed to become a major conglomerate holding companies in the chemical, construction, tourism, entertainment and food retail business over more than five decades. LOTTE’s Chemical Business started in 1970 with petrol and resins; the company LOTTE Chemical was founded in 2012 and became Asia’s leading chemical company striving for worldwide expansion. Subsequent to acquiring Samsung SDI Chemical and its architectural product STARON®, LOTTE ADVANCED MATERIALS became a leading producer of Solid Surface materials worldwide.
