MAGNA Glaskeramik is the producer of the worldwide unique material Glass Ceramic. Glass ceramic has a unique, translucent optic that allows for its crystal-like brilliance when shone upon by light. When polished, glass ceramic emits a radiant shimmer, and when patinated, it has a unique appearance and haptic. Particularly awe-provoking, is the magnificence that results when a glass ceramic piece is back-lit. Glass Ceramics is certified to be Made in Germany, in our factory in Teutschenthal. Glass Ceramic is produced from almost 100% scrap material from the industry and bottle glass production and is itself 100% recyclable. Therefore it is one of the few real green products on the market which can contribute to Green Building requirements such as LEED, BREAM or DGNB. Two trade names are used in regards to the application of our glass ceramic products decoran® - the element of glass ceramic design – and structuran® - the element of glass ceramic façade.
