Reichen et Robert & Associés
Bernard Reichen and Philippe Robert created the Reichen Et Robert agency in 1973. They became known for the exemplary conversion of cotton mills in the North of France, followed by the rehabilitation of the vast 19th century naves like the great market of La Villette, the Pavillon de l’Arsenal of the Tony Garnier Hall in Lyon, and finally for the conversion of the Menier factory site at Noisiel to house the headquarters of the Nestlé France group.
From this original, attentive conversion practice of their profession, which was necessarily complex because of the numerous criteria dealt with during a project, they learned to use original methodological approaches, which they now apply to their new projects. This multiple-factor project management method was also used in urban and regional planning, for which they have become great specialists, as acknowledged by the Grand Prix de l’Urbanisme awarded to Bernard Reichen in 2005.
Today, they work in a wide variety of fields, from hospitals to tertiary sector buildings, from city centre shops to public facilities, major urban projects or exploratory studies. They also work in very diverse areas, such as France, Belgium, Germany, Greece, Morocco, Dubai, Martinique, La Réunion or Australia.
The agency has been reorganized since 2004 to create Reichen et Robert & Associes, which includes the two founders and three new partners, including Marc Warnery, to embody the agency’s future. The agency is backed by a staff of about 100 people, including over 80 qualified architects.
