#Tradition since 1857.
Schmitz and Wila are two renowned companies with a long history and experience in their respective industries. Schmitz, founded in 1932, focused on decorative lighting solutions. Wila, on the other hand, was founded in 1857 and focused on technical lighting solutions.
The merger of Wila and Schmitz in 2017 was a significant step for both companies. By combining their expertise and resources, they were able to expand their product portfolio and offer their customers an even broader range of solutions.
Both companies have always been at the forefront of publishing catalogs. The catalogs are always designed to help customers choose the right lighting solution.
The history of the Schmitz, Wila and now SCHMITZ-WILA catalogs has its own unique story and shows how long both companies have been in the lighting industry. It is fascinating that the catalogs still play an important role for the company and our customers (architects, planners, electricians and other professionals).
