Van de Looi Van Aken Architecten designs high-quality architectural and interior projects, prioritizing spatial quality, functionality, social interaction, and long-term sustainability.
The character and design of our work are shaped by the client’s requirements, the building’s function, and the nature of the site.
Our vision holds that every building should be defined by a clear structure, both inside and out. We aim to create a distinctive spatial experience that accommodates both planned and spontaneous use—an effect we seek to enhance, in particular, through the strategic use of natural light.
We place great emphasis on long-term sustainability and low-tech solutions, focusing on the reuse of existing structures and materials as well as the application of bio-based construction techniques. Combined with our approach to form and detailing, this results in buildings that embody both contemporary character and traditional values.
