ASAS is an independent and well-established architectural office based in Hamar, Oslo and Fosen. The company was founded as Aursand og Spangen Arkitekter in 1980. As a part of a generational change, with several new partners, the firm changed its name to ASAS arkitektur in 2014. We are proud of our reputation as a versatile, innovative and solid architectural office. The office currently has 19 architects and is owned by six working partners. The company`s work areas cover the spectrum from small constructions to the largest projects, from the intricate furniture to the complex hospital. Our mindset is that all projects are interesting within their given premises, regardless of size. We handle the projects from start to finish, from the first conceptual sketch to the completed building. Our design expression can be categorized as contemporary Nordic style and we work with both new buildings and transformations. In terms of typologies, the office has extensive experience with healthcare buildings, kindergartens, schools, housing, student housing, cultural buildings, site development, spatial plans and regulations. We therefore have tasks in both the private and public sector. ASAS are experienced and confident, but at the same time young and hungry. Precision is our mantra and our promise to the customer is obvious: to deliver well-thought-out projects with delivery at the agreed time and price. But at the bottom lies a desire to make buildings, places and the world a little better by adding value socially, ecologically and economically.
