PLATOWOOD - THE ARCHITECT'S CHOICE

To make the world more beautiful with wood. That is our mission. With a unique process using only heat and water from residual flows, we preserve fast-growing types of wood that naturally last only shortly. The aesthetic, excellent, and dimensionally stable qualities that the wood gets, offer the architect from now unlimited freedom of design. Our wood is 100% circular and has a lifespan of at least 50 years. It can be applied outside as well as inside and does not require finishing.

Platonising

With our patented process 'platonising' (hydro-thermic modification) we enhance the qualities and performance of wood. We do this in a completely environmentally friendly manner without using chemicals. After the process, the wood is extremely dimensionally stable and easily processable, making it suitable for the most innovative designs. Platowood is the only company in the world that modifies wood in this sustainable way.

Wood types

Platowood offers three types of wood: Platowood Fraké, Platowood Spruce and Platowood Poplar. We only use fast-growing wood coming from certified forests. Possible applications are: roof and façade cladding, frames and doors, interior, garden & landscaping, infrastructure.
