Bridge Getingmidjan Stockholm

Haver & Boecker's stainless steel architectural mesh enhances a railway bridge in Stockholm, utilizing the MULTI-BARRETTE 8301 and DOGLA-TRIO 1032 for their flexibility and durability. The Getingmidjan bridge, crucial to Sweden's busiest line, was renovated with attention to its cultural context by architect Kenneth Hilden. The flexible MULTI-BARRETTE 8301 cable mesh allows for easy maintenance, while the DOGLA-TRIO 1032 balustrade provides an attractive safety solution for pedestrians and cyclists. Covering 3,200 square meters, this wire mesh enhances the bridge's modern aesthetic and lets in natural light, improving pedestrian comfort.

 

Parking Garage at Barmherzige Brüder Hospital

A transparent facade cladding made from LARGO-TWIST 2051 stainless steel mesh enhances the parking garage of the Barmherzige Brüder Hospital in Regensburg, which opened in 2020.  The facade not only acts as the building's shell but also ensures natural ventilation and glare reduction. The solution significantly reduced the open mesh area. The LARGO-TWIST 2051 mesh maintains the horizontal wire orientation, offering about 4% open area in two dimensions and 75% in three dimensions for optimal privacy and air circulation. For effective glare protection, Haver & Boecker worked with ZAE Bayern to refine the mesh specifications, ensuring that the facade meets glare protection criteria year-round and minimizes reflections. The parking garage facade features visually striking rectangles that appear open or closed depending on the light and viewing angle, achieved through the rotation of the horizontal wires.

 

Pedestrian Bridge Station Agen

HAVER Architectural Mesh enhances safety and visibility for the pedestrian bridge at Agen train station, France. Architect AREP designed a 7 m high, 20 m long bridge connecting platforms 1 and 2, featuring two staircases and two elevators for all travelers. Clad in EGLA-DUO 4222 wire mesh from Haver & Boecker, it creates a uniform metal veil with 46% open area for visual protection while allowing clear views. Haver & Boecker provided 73 stainless steel frames in various shapes, ensuring safety, durability, and sustainability through recyclability at the end of its life.
