Axel Schoenert Architectes has restructured  a former apartment building built in 1857 located at the 122 rue de la Boétie. It has been completely renovated to combine modern comfort, compliance with safety standards, accessibility and environmental preservation. The building has been given a complete overhaul, including conversion of the interior courtyard, the addition of a double skin on the courtyard façade, and the creation of a basement underpinning part of the building, with a double-height atrium topped by a spectacular glass roof on the first floor. These transformations enabled the interior spaces to be redesigned to meet the requirements of the new users.
