This 1,800 sq. ft. apartment underwent a thoughtful renovation to enhance functionality and align with a modern, practical lifestyle. The existing layout was cluttered and lacked efficient planning, limiting its ability to meet daily living requirements. The word "Aakar" itself means shape or form which is vastly reflected in the interior design of this apartment.
The design approach focused on optimizing space utilization, transforming the apartment into a well-structured 3BHK. A spacious living and dining area was strategically planned to flow seamlessly into a generous balcony, which also serves as an inviting entrance foyer, enhancing both aesthetics and functionality.

The balcony has been thoughtfully designed to offer versatility, seamlessly transforming between a private retreat and a conventional open space. This adaptability is achieved through the integration of an external MS (mild steel) screen, which provides privacy when needed while still allowing for natural ventilation and light. The screen enhances the functionality of the balcony, catering to both intimate moments of solitude and an open, airy experience, depending on the user’s preference. This design ensures a dynamic and flexible outdoor space that aligns with the evolving needs of modern living.

Upon entering the apartment, a seamless view of the entire space unfolds, offering an immediate sense of openness and cohesion. A carefully placed circular artwork serves as a striking focal point, establishing a distinct visual identity from the outset.
The living and dining areas are designed with a natural, bright, and harmoniously balanced color palette, creating an atmosphere that is both inviting and tranquil. This thoughtful approach ensures a comforting and welcoming environment, enhancing the overall spatial experience.

Envisioning this space began with a desire to blend modern artistry with functional comfort. The wall, a sculptural composition of concrete, wood, and black accents, serves as both an aesthetic statement and a unifying element for the room. The flowing curves juxtaposed against linear forms create a dynamic contrast, drawing the eye toward the interplay of light and shadow.
The seating arrangement follows an organic approach—rounded forms, plush textures, and a mix of earthy tones and neutral shades exude warmth while maintaining a contemporary elegance. The asymmetric yet balanced layout invites relaxation, with a combination of a two-toned curved sofa, a cozy lounge chair, and a tactile, boucle-clad loveseat.

The centerpiece of this Masterbedroom is the headboard wall, where a traditional Japanese-inspired painting of cranes in gold and earthy tones creates a timeless focal point. This mural seamlessly integrates with rich wooden paneling, introducing warmth and a natural flow that enhances the depth of the space. The bed itself, wrapped in deep emerald green upholstery, offers a striking contrast against the golden hues of the artwork. The plush textures of the bedding and the carefully curated fabrics add a tactile richness, ensuring comfort without compromising on style.

The design narrative is centered around a sophisticated material palette, with a striking black marble panel backdrop adding depth and luxury. The mural-like wallpaper introduces a soft, nostalgic charm, creating a serene contrast against the dark tones. The warm, ambient lighting, coupled with a golden pendant lamp, enhances the cozy atmosphere, while subtle décor elements like the framed feather artwork on the wall add an artistic touch.
