CHAY TULUM

CHAY TULUM

The Chay – Tulum project was born through the vision of creating an accommodation where the barrier between inside and outside is blurred to the point of almost being lost. For this, the strategy was to design completely reflective rectangular prisms which blend with the jungle and natural environment.

Arriving at Chay, one immediately notices the hierarchy of access and the strong central axis that shows the entrance and in turn frames the pool to finally finish off in the sculptural building of common areas.

Within the access is the administration, reception and an organic market which will offer fresh local products where guests can buy and prepare them inside their room.

The project communicates through trails inspired by the ancient Mayan sacbes that gradually discover the different elements that make up the project.

The masterplan consists of 20 fully equipped units in efficient modules of 26.70M2 and have a King size bed, bathroom, dining table and a fully equipped kitchenette, from any point of the unit one can see the jungle that surrounds the property at an angle of 286 °

At the heart of the project is the social areas building which houses a bar accompanied by lounge areas where you can spend time with friends and in the upper part it has an outdoor gym for practicing yoga, calisthenics, and various outdoor sports activities. All of them with views of the natural environment.

Chay is not in the jungle, is part of it.
