The school is located outside the village, elevated over the road in a flat rectangular plot result of the explanation on the rocky side of the hill and highly conditioned by the shadow of this wall from mid-morning, so rationalization in the implantation is required. It is intended to formalize the exterior facade building at the edge of the bank with the best sunshine, and leaving the interior area for sports.
The exterior image is that of a public building with a modern language, combining traditional materials of Mediterranean architecture with current energy efficiency systems. The L-shaped school building that rounds the sports area inside, is clearly recognizable from the outside volumes: brick walls in white, perforated with horizontal openings protected from the sun by vertical aluminum slats in yellow. A large ramp marks the access to the main hall.
The crossing piece on the ground floor has optimum orientation to sunlight and contains two rows of children classrooms, while the longitudinal building contains communication nodes and public areas, and supports the first floor that contains elementary classrooms. The access-hall allows to organize every circulations, both the interior ones, and the exteriors to the portico, gym and playground area outside. The children outdoor classrooms are designed with a covering sunshade (to the southeast) which allows its best use in sunny times.
