A new DRYMilano

In the heart of one of the districts of the new Milan nightlife, on the corner of Viale Vittorio Veneto and Via Manuzio, the second DRYMilano is born with a "daytime and evening double soul".

The absolutely innovative project enhances the dual exposure of the location and the light of the thirteen windows that characterize the facades. The new DRY overlooks the Casa della Fontana, one of the most iconic buildings of Milan in the thirties, on the garden of via Palestro and, with a dehors, on the Ramparts.

The entire architectural project was curated by the VUDAFIERI-SAVERINO Partners studio, which has reinterpreted the style of the era in a modern way, from which the building that houses the restaurant goes back.

The interiors affect, first of all, by their size. The division of spaces reminds that of the local twin of Via Solferino.

The entrance is occupied by an impressive cocktail station where the mise en place is planned (absolute novelty in Milan), organized in three atolls and surrounded by common tables. The second room, instead, is dedicated to the restaurant-pizzeria.

The decor mixes the vintage elements of the style of the building that houses it (an ancient newspaper distribution company founded at the beginning of the twentieth century), with other more modern ones, for a decidedly bolder and more contemporary layout.

The wooden floor contrasts with the historic walls, left in part rough. This contrast accentuates the appearance of a modern loft obtained from a former industrial space.

The brass, the iconic material element of DryMilano, characterizes most of the furniture finishes such as large tables and lights. The second life chandeliers are built by screwing up old lamp holders, with incandescent incandescent lamps or, still, twisting luminous garden garlands around simple bars.

The full height DryMilano separè, obtained by overlapping kitchen tables and cabinets, delimit open spaces and make them more intimate.
