GAS Petrol Station in Matúškovo, Slovakia
 
The design of this two-pump petrol station was part of a comprehensive architectural study of a chain of petrol stations of various sizes ranging from a single pump one to a motorway service station. The unifying feature of the design are the organic shapes of the roofs supported by slender columns.
 
The reinforced concrete pillars seamlessly mushroom out into the roof fitted with recessed light fixtures. Access to the minimalist shop building is protected from the elements by the roof overhang. The whole petrol station is wheelchair friendly.
