Good Hotel London is a floating social pop-up hotel moored in the historic Royal Victoria Docks offering views over the river Thames and city of London. It moved there from Amsterdam where it stayed for one year while training 70 unemployed Amsterdammers to find a job in the hospitality industry. The Good Hotel, which was totally re-purposed from a former detention center into a beautiful 144 room hotel, offers a premium hotel experience and the opportunity to do something back for the local community while traveling. Good Hotel received the REBELS award (greatest innovation/disruption) and was nominated for Entree Magazine hotel concept award.

We were looking for the right blend of industrial and natural. Showing the construction and sturdiness of the building and combining it with elements, materials and textures that make you feel right at home. Pure is premium to us. We didn’t design golden taps or use marble tabletops to create a premium look and feel. We found luxury in simplicity and originality. Much like you would see in a Dutch home, we mixed design classics by Lensvelt and Moooi with everyday design from Hema and the items we designed ourselves for Good Hotel.
