Hotel Brummell is an urban oasis created by friends. Off the beaten track, but an easy walk to the city, mountain or sea, Brummell encourages guests to explore Barcelona, but also to stay in. We invite you to come have a leisurely meal, a swim, a drink, a sauna or just retreat to your room. We are a 20-room, 2-apartment hotel in Poble Sec, Barcelona. We love our city and our neighborhood. Design The hotel was built and designed to be relaxed, intimate, imaginative and adaptable. The façade of the building remains just as it was in 1870 while the interior was completely transformed. The architect, Inma Rábano, worked with us to rehabilitate this historic building into a structure that could house the details. The design was done by our friends, the Australian born and Barcelona based duo, Blankslate. Based on their numerous travels to Sri Lanka, and their passion for Geoffrey Bawa's 'tropical modernism’, Brummell became a place where other worlds and times mix with our local world and modern times. We've played with light and plants and a respect for the traditional, in order to create a sort of timelessness. Blankslate's use of bespoke modern furniture mixed together with Sri Lankan and European antiques sets it apart from other hotels. The addition of contemporary art projects within the rooms also pays homage to local creatives and makers. The result is a laid back and casual place to hang out, to rest, and to indulge. Our details were either designed or chosen carefully with a focus on functionality, comfort and aesthetic. The mix of antiques with custom furnishings and details from some of our favorite designers make Brummell a well-balanced and relaxed environment. Architecture cannot be totally explained but must be experienced.

Brummell Classic: Hotel Brummell’s real deal. This is our most spacious room (21 m2) with a queen bed and 2 private sunny balconies overlooking Montjuïc and the Mediterranean. Call up breakfast and enjoy the sun glowing up over the city.
Poolside Classic: Our studio room (12-15 m2) equipped with all comfort, a double bed, and a very nice view of Brummell’s internal courtyard and Poble Sec.
Penthouse: Brummell’s bigger (20 m2) top floor room overlooks the whole city and beyond. It also has a completely private terrace with outdoor bathtub and garden. The indoor space is equally luxurious with a large open shower and a queen bed.
Petit Penthouse: One of the two exclusive rooms (12 m2) at the very top of the hotel with an outdoor bathtub, queen bed and completely private terrace. Wake up slowly with a view of the sea beyond the city... from the bed.
Apartments: In addition to the hotel rooms, Brummell also has 2 80 m2 apartments. Each includes 3 bedrooms, all with double beds, and 2 bathrooms with tubs. Full kitchen, private balconies and terrace, and access to the hotel pool and sauna.

Poble Sec El Poble Sec (Catalan for "dry village") is a neighborhood in the Sants-Montjuïc district of Barcelona. It's local and charming, and home to what we consider to be some of Barcelona's best restaurants, bars, and arts institutions. And it's only a 15-minute walk from the city center.
Why Poble Sec? Because it feels like home. Poble Sec is a mostly residential neighborhood that lies alongside Montjuïc. It’s quiet, charming, a little cheeky and full of surprises.
About Montjuïc., The green gem of our city. Montjuïc is a marvel and we are right next to it. It’s a perfect day's escape from the dense city as it’s home to the botanical gardens, many historical monuments, the Olympic grounds and some of our city’s best museums. Visit the Joan Miró Foundation, the Greek Theater, and experience any number of its seasonal happenings.
Feel Good The Garage We're thrilled to have our good friend Veronica right next door. The Garage is a multi-functional well being space for yoga, training classes and a possible place for your next event or happening.

Veronica Blume This lady radiates a calm and gracious light. We believe in the balance of life and this is the woman who brings us to the side that encourages us to take care of our bodies, quiet our minds, and shine our own healthy lights.
Ms. Blume and Mr. Brummell go way back. When we decided to open a hotel, we knew that we’d need a space devoted to movement, tranquility, fitness and a healthy state-of-mind. Veronica gives us this space and more. Austrian born and worldtraveled, this tranquila powerhouse has become the hostess for our most-ess. She will guide us with her raw strength, anatomical knowledge and maternal comfort to where we feel good. We thank her for devoting her space to our well-being.
The Shop Barcelona is a fantastic cycling city not only for the weather, but because you can be deep in city alleyways, cruising along the Mediterranean, or gearing up a mountain in one day.
