New Police Headquarter’s reconstruction is the first step to refurbish this urban bloc in Villefranche City center. A contextual vocabulary is used: rhythms, spans regularity, ground floor level open to public space, windows proportion, street alignment. Because it takes care of all these particular things, the building integration can be quite and harmonious. Thanks to contemporary interpretation of these particular features, the new building stands out. Coating brightness and shadows play generated by stainless steel frames, give depth to the façade and animation through different time of the day. Gable roof typology comes from the context, contrariwise its contemporary interpretation without overhang.
