Retirement Home of Morangis

Located in Morangis, the retirement home comprises 91 beds and is organized around a central nucleus - reception hall - which distributes the building on four levels.

The building is constructed on 4 levels and is based on a « Y » shaped plan, organized in three significant functions : daily patient and visitor reception, service access and deliveries, and common open spaces on a reserved landscaped park to the residents. The plan is simple and compact.

The wooden cladding of the facade covers the insulation, it is contrasted by the play of the coated openings. Each recess in the facade corresponds to a sociable space: the terraces are intended for the Pole of Activity and Adapted Care and the Reinforced Accommodation Unit. As for the loggias, on two levels, they illuminate the salons of each unit of life.

One of the fundamentals is the presence of visual escapes. All rooms have a clear view and offer an outward perspective. On the top floor, the large terraces overlooking the garden are arranged to extend the outdoor activity areas.

The yellow-orange color of the facade resonates with the wood cladding. This natural and dynamic color allows the pleasure and the visual comfort of the users. It carries values of welcome, comfort and participates in the general harmony of the building.
