This house is situated in the Parisian suburb Clamart, 5 kilometers from Paris. The challenge of this project was to build a large house on a relatively small amount of land amidst other houses, while maintaining a usable outdoor space. This construction has an area of 280 m2 and has three levels, a basement which covers the entire surface‐area of the house, a ground‐floor with a living‐room, dining room and kitchen, and there are bedrooms, bathrooms and terraces on the first floor. This house, with a refined and modern architecture, has a wooden structure with a white exterior. The main feature of this house is a connection with the outdoors. Its large windows provide a lot of light inside the house, and in hot seasons they provide a direct connection to the terrace and swimming pool. The kitchen, the dining room and the living room are all open plan and linked, which enhances the feeling of space. The dining room is directly facing a large bay window bright and cosy.
On the first floor, a corridor along the front connects the bedrooms to an outdoor wooden terrace. At each end there is a large room with an outdoor open balcony. 4 rooms overlook the south terrace and its views, and the swimming pool. At the back, two bathrooms provide direct access to a patio which will be equiped with a jaccuzzi in a near future.
Beautiful lighting throughout the house gives it a bright and modern touch, and enhances the open spaces throughout the house. This house was designed to offer owners an incomparable standard of living : from the space and the lighting, to the modernism. Despite the straight lines and simple shapes, the design is warm, modern and makes the house extremely attractive.
