He does this starting from an analytical, geometric and ultra-material synthesis of the natural contextual elements: the granite on which the orography of the terrain is based, the mixed-linear texture delimited by the rows of vines, the random juxtaposition of solids and voids of the village of Castione in the background.
The tectonics: a platform jutting out on the steep slope towards the valley floor, incised by a basin and clever squares of green, defines a walled courtyard capable of protecting the unfolding of volumes that contain the dwelling.

The texture: a rhythmic pattern of larch pine slats marks the façades and the open courtyard, in dialectic contrast with dialectic with the translucent and reflective continuity of the large windows to the south, the ribbon openings and the glass parapets guaranteeing a perfect interpenetration between interior and exterior.
The backdrop: the subject-backdrop relationship is to the advantage of the view from the south, where the villa seems to want to integrate the monumental emergencies behind it such as the bell tower, the farmyards and barracans of ancient mountain huts, the crests of the Rhaetian Alps soaring above the iridescent mantle of the woods and the natural landscape.

A few skilful operations of cutting out and emptying the wall box do the rest, allowing the unfolding of open and closed forms that from the outside proceed towards the heart of the building, generating plastic jolts - in the encounter/clash between vertical partitions and intrados of the roof - translations of material - embossed slab concrete against wooden plank cladding - opposing chromatisms - the total black accessories of the bathroom and kitchen and the reflective surfaces of the
external enclosures -.
