True to form, Paco Roncero’s new Ibizan restaurant serves up fresh new versions of traditional Spanish dishes. José Manuel Ferrero of Estudihac was the ideal interior designer for this project. His aura of elegance, drama and history contrasts with a tongue-in-cheek take on design. He has drawn inspiration from traditional elements and given them a new twist. For example, the Casta chairs are based on the form of a castanet, and the Pion tables are modelled on chess pieces. Attention to detail abounds. A good example is the customization of the Tea chairs with the chain’s logo specially embroidered onto their backs. The end result is daring yet warm and cosy at the same time. Ideal for long evening meals or quick tapas.
