The Schön Klinik is located on the western bank of the Rhine in Düsseldorf's district Heerdt. The construction project concerns a hospital bed wing with a functional wing from 1971 and a single-storey building from 1996 where the emergency room is situated.

The priorities of the rehabilitation measure are defined by the needs of the operator:

• Integration of ENT surgery area in existing surgical department to optimize functional sequences
• Complete refurbishment of the nursing stations and restructuring of the central core oft he building
• Upgrade to elective care wards with central care center
• Renovation of the facade
• Redesign of the entrance situation to achieve a representative look
• Fire protection engineering
• Extension and restructuring of the technological control center
