Located in Milan’s Symbiosis business district by Covivio, Building D is a new 20,000 square meter office building by Antonio Citterio Patricia Viel ACPV Architects that redefines the workspace as a place that can adapt to the changing needs of employees. Additionally, the building has obtained LEED Platinum and WELL Bronze certifications for its focus on people’s well-being, indoor comfort, and energy-efficient design.

Part of the Sharing Cities project, a European initiative focused on innovative approaches to creating more environmentally sustainable and livable cities, Milan’s Symbiosis area strives to offer new educational and service sector facilities in line with contemporary demands. This latest building is designed for European investment and development company Covivio and welcomes firms such as Boehringer Ingelheim, LVMH P&C Italia, Amplifon, and companies of the Mars - Royal Canin Italia and Fratelli Orsero groups.

The building comprises two superimposed masses. The first is a shorter four-storey high volume with top floors that cantilever over Via Orobia. The second volume is a nine-storeys high and includes generous office spaces along with commercial space on the ground floor. A green outdoor garden on the shorter volume provides an attractive outdoor amenity for employees.

The flexible layout of the office areas fosters interaction through collaborative workspaces where people can connect with colleagues working from home. Additionally, kitchen, gym, resting and hotel rooms within Building D ensure employees can access essential facilities without needing to the leave the premises.
